Fantastic introduction to the subject.
Progress reports on how far IZ has come -- very encouraging
level of expertise and sophistication.
Excellent panelists. Smart participants and wonderful
opportunities for them to contribute.
Top notch speakers, well organized sessions, started and
ended on time, good opportunities to talk with one another
within sessions and during networking times.
High level of content, details, variety of perspectives: city
govts, researchers, advocates, geographic diversity. Very
organized -- fantastic overall. Also, generally great amount
of discussion in breakouts.
Timely issues. Enjoyed it!!

I liked the emphasis on keeping to time schedule and encouraging
audience participation/discussion of subjects. This
keeps it interesting and prompts active engagement. (Instead
of being lectured.)

Loved the 8 minute presentations with lots of time for
questions and discussions; great interaction.
Venue, depth of info. quality/expertise of speakers, mobile
classrm opps; opportunity to ask questions in each panel
session. Dwayne took amazing pictures!!
Getting exposed to a variety of ideas and chance to meet
variety of people that may be able to help in the future.
Fantastic introduction to the subject.
Loved the small group breakfast topic tables -- a great way
to network.
Good dialogue among participants, very rich discussion.
Knowledge sharing, learning what other cities are doing.
More time for discussion and sharing than in most conferences.
The best!!! Very impressive. Ran smoothly.
Commitment of participants was the highlight.
Content and staff were highlights.
Liked hearing speakers from all over the country. Well prepared
presentations -- with handouts and well done
powerpoints. Very welcoming, friendly organizers and leaders.
Leaving evenings free for time in this city! Location downtown
near restaurants, transit, etc.
Well run; interactive panel sessions; Bernie good facilitator.
Pulled together a great number of people from all over the
country, and opened my eyes to many successful programs
beyond the few "super star" programs we hear so much about.
Highlights were: the panelists, the topics, the participants'
contributions to the discussion, and a sense of excitement and
enthusiasm.
Liked the facilitation so that many voices could be heard and
responded to.
Very smart people with real, hands-on experience in
inclusionary housing over the long term. Lots of time for
questions, and presenters could answer questions. Focused
presentations. Enthusiasm, which is lacking at so many conferences.
Lots of nitty gritty, which is more helpful than theory. I
learned a couple of things that I immediately came back and
included in our Housing Policy (which is essentially a voluntary
IH policy).
Really knowledgeable panelists and participants. Many opportunities
for discussion.
Great meeting other advocates who are working on similar
issues.
Great time to network...
Coming to the conference knowing very little about the
subject matter, it was an excellent introduction to "what" and
"how." Very nice to talk to people with considerable knowledge
and expertise in the subject.
Good range of participation, something for people both new to
IH, and those who'd been around since the start.
The conference offered many insights and provided something
for everyone (those just beginning an inclusionary housing
program and those working through existing program issues).
The Opening Session, Keynote Luncheon (Angela in particular)
and Closing Session speakers were also a highlight as they set
the tone for the conference and provided inspiration for the
movement. The conference was also very well orchestrated.
Kudos to all involved in making this a great conference.
Thank you.
The number of people doing this and having the opportunity
to speak to them about where they are in the process and their
experiences.
Solid information, well presented. Better than most conferences.
The plenary sessions and the large group speakers were
excellent. The chance to interact with other people interested
in Inclusionary Housing was also a great experience.
The quality of the participants both panelists and audience,
the time allocated for discussion was key. Opportunities to
discuss ideas with other participants outside of the sessions
was invaluable.
Thank you for a wonderful conference. Thank you for all that
was done.
The NIHC was a wonderful event. Great information from all
of the presenters and very inspiring keynote speakers. Kudos
to you and all the other organizers.
Congratulations on a wonderful conference! Everything was
so well-planned from beginning to end. It was very enjoyable.
Enjoyed comments from the mayor -- demonstrates how
power is moving and effective when strong political support
exist.
Wednesday lunch speaker was amazing highlight of the
conference. Socially uplifting.
Dynamic speaker, good length, good points.
Fabulous and inspirational.
Very inspiring - excellent.
Very inspirational and should be asked to attend and speak at
the next conference.
Excellent. What an inspiration!
Excellent!! Terrific, dynamic speaker who rally brought home
the importance of providing affordable housing in all communities.
Wonderful insights and inspiring!
Angela Blackwell's ability to link housing to the other movements
is critical to the survival of housing. Too many housing
folks think only about building and residents vs. neighborhood
and poverty. Glad to hear about the work!
Wonderful to have the global context.
Loved Carl Anthony's broad vision and hearing the perspective
from South Africa. The presentation from South Africa was
excellent and really highlighted how much we unfortunately
have in common.
Wonderful gesture to include S. African presentation - a truly
inclusionary approach.
